Welcome to South Anna Elementary, home of the Spirit Riders. I am excited to begin my seventh year serving as principal for this special school community. It is a privilege to work with motivated students, dedicated faculty and staff, supportive parents, and an involved community. During the 2021–20212 school year we are committed to upholding our tradition of excellence while striving for continuous improvement. Together we can make each day a great day for learning for each child.
Each year we select a theme to unite our school community, build spirit, and serve as a focus for learning and achievement. This year’s theme is “Let’s Learn and Grow Together.” Working together, we will plant the seeds of learning with relevant, innovative instruction. We will add the necessary resources for development and mix in opportunities for collaboration, problem solving, critical thinking, and creativity. We will nourish our “sprouts” with love, respect, and support and be mindful that every child has unique needs and grows at their own pace. We will cultivate kindness, quality relationships, positive behavior, and good citizenship. With your support, we will watch our students blossom academically, socially, and emotionally. They will grow to their full potential as they live out our school motto: Do your best; Be your best!
